PenCom embarks on verification to ease pension payment

To ensure that adequate budgetary provision is made for their pension entitlements, the National Pension Commission, PenCom, has embarked on a pre-retirement verification and enrolment exercise of employees of the federal government treasury funded Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), due for retirement between January and December 2020.

Keystone Bank KEYSTONE Bank Limited has partnered with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) on a tree planting campaign in Lagos State. The trees are expected to absorb carbon dioxide in the environment and create an ecosystem that will help to reduce pollution. The bank in a statement said the campaign was to support ongoing global efforts  to ensure sustainable cities and communities under the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 of the United Nations (UN). CBN sacks First Bank, FBN Holdings directors, retains Adeduntan as MD - Enjoy this Awesome Report

By Emma Ujah, Abuja Bureau Chief & Babajide Komolafe The Central Bank  of Nigeria, CBN, yesterday, removed the Boards of Directors of First Bank of Nigeria Limited and the FBN Holdings Plc. The apex bank also reappointed 14 out of the 21 directors affected by the sack into the new board of the two institutions. The CBN also reinstated Mr Adesola Adeduntan as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of First Bank of Nigeria. Adeduntan was earlier sacked as MD by the former board of the bank. Announcing the decision to sack the directors at a briefing in Abuja, the CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele said the apex bank had to remove the directors for trying to remove Adeduntan as MD without consulting the regulators.
