Police arrest two suspected kidnappers in Kebbi

Two suspected kidnappers terrorising Mashekarin Karyo Village in Makera District of Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State have been arrested by the police.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Garba Danjuma, disclosed this while speaking with journalists on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi.

He gave the names of the suspects as Muhammadu Juli and Sahabi Kiruwa.

Danjuma said the two belonged to a gang of kidnappers that abducted a housewife, Hajiya Aljimma from her husband’s house in Mashekarin Karyo village on September 28.

The EFCC is crucially a formative organ in the Nigerian justice system. Buhari could, ideologically speaking, be making the gesture that this ‘born-again’ EFCC would demonstrate unflinching conversion and redemption of lost years. It would be a sheer ignominy and impunity to overlook how, even at 60, we still can’t manage ‘small matters’. No fewer than 17 people on Tuesday died following a ghastly motor accident which occurred at Irepeni on Okene- Lokoja – Abuja highway in Kogi State. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Kogi, Mr Solomon Aghure, confirmed this to newsmen in Lokoja. He said that the accident, which occurred at about 5am, involved two vehicles in a collision.
